If your connection drops: recordings, transcripts and summaries are kept locally in this browser only, so a crash or refresh doesn't lose your work. A payment that didn't return a transcript is remembered too, so you can retry without paying twice. Everything expires automatically after 24 hours, or instantly with "Clear from this device".

Record a conversation

Record straight in your browser — just your microphone, or system/tab audio mixed with your microphone so both sides of an online call (Meet, Teams, Zoom, WhatsApp Web) are captured.

Sharing a screen or tab is only how browsers unlock system audio: the video is switched off immediately, nothing visual is recorded or sent, and the saved file is audio only (roughly 1 MB per minute).

Phone calls and WhatsApp calls on your phone cannot be recorded from a browser. Do not start a recording during an ongoing call: a phone gives the microphone to only one app at a time, so the browser will take over the mic and your voice drops out of the call. Instead, record with a second device on speaker, use WhatsApp Web on a desktop, or record with a call-recorder app and upload the file here.

This input is used for both recording options; the exact device is confirmed once recording starts.

What system audio recording can and cannot capture
  • Choose the browser tab or screen you want to share and tick "Share tab audio" (or "Share system audio") — without that only your microphone is recorded.
  • Audio from a browser tab works in Chrome and Edge. System-wide audio (apps outside the browser) generally works on Windows and ChromeOS.
  • Phone calls, WhatsApp/FaceTime calls on your phone, and calls inside most mobile apps cannot be captured directly by a browser on iOS or Android. A phone gives the microphone to only one app at a time: if you start a browser recording during a call, the browser takes over the mic and your voice drops out of the call. The best options are: record the call on speaker with a second device (another phone or laptop) using “Microphone only”, use WhatsApp Web on a desktop and choose “System audio + microphone”, or record with a separate call-recorder app and upload the file here.
  • On macOS browsers usually cannot capture system audio without extra software. A WhatsApp call in the desktop app may therefore be recorded with your microphone only.
  • On mobile, system/tab audio sharing is not available — record with the microphone or upload a file.
  • The recording stays in this browser and is never uploaded automatically. It is only sent to the server after you confirm and pay, exactly like an uploaded file. Max 3 hours.
  • While recording, a safety copy is written to this browser's local storage, so a crash, refresh or lost connection does not lose your audio — you can restore it on the next visit. It stays on your device and is deleted automatically after 24 hours.
